The book I'm onto now

I tried to find the smallest picture possible, ha. It is What remains by Carol Radziwill. I think it is mostly about her friendship with JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. The only thing I havn't figured yet, is I think Jackie was a Radziwill. I swear they are all related somehow, Kennedy's, Radziwill's, I think there's some Turner's in there. P.S. The job went okay today, I will definately have to give it a bit of time. Also an extremely miserable day here. Really good if your a duck though. Til tomorrow.

New cross stitch

Not sure when I will even attempt to begin this one, I have a throw on my couch in the basement that is the same as this, which I acquired from grandma's attic. Just had to have the cross stitch to go with it.

My new job

This is it, my last day off after 5 months. I left my job of 17 years at the beginning of March for a bunch of reasons, anyway it has been so nice to be off. I did not intend to even look for a job this soon, it was the last thing I wanted. A friend of mine called and said they we're looking for someone to do some warehousing, which is what I do, Parts and warehousing yada yada yada. It is sort of just off site from where I used to work. I figured I have nothing to lose and I should at least give it a try. I know I will not sleep a wink tonight, that is how I am. No reason to worry, it's just me. I will keep you posted.

Calligraphy

Like most crafts, I am fully ready to begin at any moment, I am a collector you see, just waiting for the moment. This one really strikes my fancy, not sure when it will happen though.

One of the best places ever, Alone.

My tomato plant

This plant is really getting out of hand. From the top of the pot, it is 6-1/2 feet tall, it is now pushing into the ceiling. I wonder if it has anything to do with this green and yellow box. Today I will be moving it of the deck, so it will get a little more sunlight, I will have to wait for my husband to come home though, because it will snap in half if I do not have assistance. Also it will be supported and tied up and all that good stuff. It is very fragile.

More pics from holidays. I couldn't believe the way these trees grew. Even if they we're planted there, how did they stay so straight. Small things amaze small minds. You know how it is. Me and the bear. Somehow I'm the one taking pictures all the time, so my husband got this one of me. Note the book in my hand. It is about lady who went in search of and found Maligne Lake, back in like 1913 or something. I love biographies.

Blog to check out

http://mustgethobby.blogspot.com/ You guys especially Darlene and Karen should check this one out. I find it hilarious. Let me know.

Stuff

This is where I am at with the cross stitch, I worked on it a lot on vacation. I really enjoy doing it.
I know this is totally off the wall, but has anyone ever seen this kid's show? It comes on when the grandkids are here. I just have to share it with you, cause I think it is the cutest show ever. They sing songs and dance, but it is funny and cute at the same time. Just had to share.

I bought this at the farmer's market in Edmonton, so today it is in the pot with water and chicken. What a great way to cook. It smells wonderful.

I'm going back to work starting Monday morning. I had a good break, 5 months off, but now I must get back to the grind.

New pattern

I picked up this pattern on holidays. I thought it was so nice.
It's a bit of a variation on what I usually do. But still crocheted, so it's all good.

Jasper

These are some snaps of our vacation, it was actually a little cooler up in the mountains than it has been, but when we come down and back to the city, whew. Too much heat. All in all, it was nice to get away.

The beginning of my blog, again

I am a gardener. It's in my gene's. I do not have as green a thumb as my parent's, but perhaps in time that will come. I like to have a few knick knacks in my garden. A friend of mine and I decided that we would have matching gnomes. I just got back from vacation and my personal mission was to find two matching gnomes. I did and this is them and I decided to name my blog after the two gnomes. One will live in my garden and the other will go home with my friend today to live in her's.
